INTER-CLASS WALL MAGAZINE COMPETITION 2015

The theme of the wall magazine competition this year was “Commemorating the 60^th birth anniversary of the 4^th Druk Gyalpo- A Dedication”, in line with the historic celebration of a Rabjung anniversay (60 Years) of our beloved monarch.

The contest was organized at 4 levels:

Level 1- Class 7

Level 2-CLASS 8

LEVEL 3-CLASS 9

LEVEL 4-CLASS 10

Both the teachers and the students worked very hard to put the wall magazine together and the output was noteworthy. This year, the judges were invited from the different schools in the Thimpu valley and the judges had a tough time grading the exhibit. the judges were overwhelmed by the hard work and the dedication the students had put to prepare their dedication to our beloved fourth Druk Gyalpo which not only portrayed their writing skills, their feelings but also their creativity.

As per the judgment of the panel of judges the winners were as follows:

Level 1- 1^st 7D, 2^nd 7C, 3^rd 7E

Level 2-1^st 8F, 2^nd 8H, 3^rd 8I

Level 3- 1^st 9C, 2nd 9D, 3^rd 9A

Level 4-1^st 10B, 2^nd 10c, 3^rd 10G

The administration, in order to recognize the hard work of the teachers and students, awarded prizes to the winners.

YHSS GOLDEN JUBLEE QUIZ COMPETITION

YANGCHENPHUG HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL GOLDEN JUBLEE QUIZ COMPETITION

On invitation of the host school YHSS on 31/3/2015, our school participated in the YHSS Golden Jubilee on 7the April to mark the three important occasions, 60^th Birth anniversary of the 4^th Druk Gyalpo, the Golden Jubilee of YHSS and the World Health day. Our school was represented by Sangeeta Rai 9D and Dorji Wangchuk 9C.

Five schools from the Thimphu valley: Yangchenphug HSS, Kelki HSS, Motithang HSS, Nima HSS and Lungtenzampa MSS participated in the Quiz. The quiz consisted of three rounds with subjects ranging from history, science, economics, current affairs, mathematics, literature, and politics to entertainment.

Our school won the first position and was awarded a trophy along with cash prize and certificate to our team. This quiz not only gave our students the platform to test their GK competency but also gave a boost to their confidence.

Annual School Marathon

Annual School Marathon

The School is conducting its Annual School Marathon on 28th March, 2015(Saturday). In order to ensure better coordination and smooth conduct of the program, the School would request the parents to drop their children who are participating in the Annual School Marathon at the parking near our school at 5:15 A.M.

The School would also like to extend the invitation to the parents to join us in order to encourage our children who will be running hard. The Marathon is expected to conclude around 8:00 A.M. 

Please do let us know latest by 26th March, 2015 (Thursday). You can contact your child's class teacher who will inform the administration regarding your participation.
